We Choose to Skate Through Fear

Those of us who live in New York City know that we live on high alert...we do it every day. We have done so since 911. We are aware. We are alert. But we are not afraid. I write this not only for terrorists, but for our fellow Americans, who live on the outskirts, or not even near New York City, yet feel the need to keep sharing posts about terror threats to our home. I can assure you that we New Yorkers do not need you to constantly post and remind us of the world we live in. We live it! Unlike you who only reads about it or sees it on TV. So I thank you in advance for not propagating the fear on our behalf. And to be clear, despite the reality that we live in, we New Yorkers choose to live our lives in fullness, and in celebration, and we skate through any and all fears. We are, after all, f**king New Yorkers yo!! ‪
